Top tips for marquee decorations

Hanging decorations from the roof of marquees is an easy and effective way to add colour and atmosphere.

As well as flower installations and artfully draped foliage, hops are a popular choice for an autumn wedding. Paper lanterns, bunting, ribbons, balloons, fairy lights or festoon lighting and chandeliers draw the eyes upward.

DIY fabric or paper bunting is a cost effective way of adding your chosen colour theme to the marquee.

Folded origami paper decorations can be very striking and a nice alternative to balloons.

Draping fabric around the marquee frame is cheap way to decorate, soften and add colour, adding disco balls gives a touch of sparkle.

Hanging lampshades can add texture and personality, whilst lanterns provide a warm and glowing light for a cosy feel.

You could create a entire ceiling canopy out of string lights to give a shimmering glamorous feel to the décor.

You can also hang decorations and lighting down the sides of the marquee.
